The Supply Chain Lead will support EMPT (External Manufacturing Product Team) Leads in the execution of operational day-to-day activities, new product launches, tech transfers, & scope changes within their perimeter. This position reports to the Head of Large Molecules, Gen Med & Vaccines Supply chain and will serve as a member of the External Manufacturing Team.

The External Manufacturing team is responsible to support the high-level objective on delivering tech transfers by ensuring robust Quality input in CMO selection, upfront identification of strategic partners by technologies selected through comprehensive risk assessment and mitigation plans and successful launching right the first time.

Main responsibilities:

The Supply Chain Lead will support EMPT (External Manufacturing Product Team) Leads in the execution of operational day-to-day activities, New Product Launches, Tech Transfers, & scope changes within their perimeter.

  • Develop and drive the Site Supply Review (SSR) process in collaboration with the Global Supply Chain for the corresponding products/group of products

  • Fully executing the integrated business plan processes (Site Supply Review) to ensure maximum controls of all communications by product portfolio.

  • Deep dives (Decide or Inform) need to be collected and presented monthly.

  • Escalations on demand and supply gaps for Inventory’s shortcoming

  • Supply performance review by CMO’s.

  • Working on External Manufacturing & Supply (EM&S) – Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) (possibility to start by EM&S GBU KPI if needed)

  • Report on material expiry risk and participate in network level MRB to ensure inventory level meets market requirements.

  • Engage External Manufacturing Product Teams (EMPT) & CMO core team and ensure smooth coordination of EMPT operations with artworks, serialization, operations & quality representatives for on time In Full (OTIF) supply

  • Participates in projects to ensure materials requirements are documented and agreed to with CMO’s.

  • Source and negotiate quotes with CMO’s for current and future capacity.

  • Conduct monthly, quarterly and or bi-annual business reviews with major CMO’s to maintain knowledge of CMO’s business stability.

  • Digitalize the supply & quality relation with CMOs leveraging collaborative tools.

  • Manage all aspect of OTIF to minimize out of stock at the market level.

  • Manage relevant Supply Chain Operations activities in SAP from contracts and purchase orders creation till good receipt after CMO manufacturing (incl. BOM, GR, STO, Conversions at CMO location, etc.)

  • Lead the Inventory reconcile quarterly purchasing execution and coordinating pre-approval samples in support of production plan with several contract manufacturers.

  • Set up and manage the physical flow of Inventory.

  • Manage end of end logistics flow of Inventory.

  • Provide annual forecast demand by product in iShift and Kinaxis including cost variances mitigation.

  • Deploy standard cost setting process with procurement and finance.

  • Execute Good Receipt process by different stages of the drug productions.

  • Manage, organize, and coordinate both financial & physical movements of goods across the network & Pivot entity, including optimized delivery schedule definition & strategy to meet Market priority expectations & EM&S Budget targets

  • Participate and validate shipping lane by countries and production.

  • Lead the Inventory reconcile quarterly.

  • Enhance Accountability & Speed in Execution with established EM&S governance structure using DAI methodology with all the stakeholders.

  • Provide scope of service and technical details

  • Support Corporate Sourcing function with the virtual specific requirements.

  • Lead integration of systems/processes and supply chain flows across global sites.

  • Monitor CMO’s Performance by Lot Acceptance that reflects Sanofi’s specifications.

  • Part takes on monthly Supplier Corrective Action Report meeting

  • Lead on Kinaxis supply chain module as key user to provide guidance and support EM supply chain team, also support integration and data management.

  • Coordinate budget and expense to adhere to T1 and or T2 exercise.

  • Tech transfer support

About you

  • Experience: 10-12 Years of experience

  • Soft and technical skills: Master's in supply chain or related field, APICS qualification an advantage, Knowledge of global supply chain

  • Education: Masters or Bachelors preferred

  • Languages: English (Written & Verbal)
