Job Description\:
You will be responsible for ensuring all materials and services are planned and subsequently available as required to support Programme requirements.
Working closely with key Programme Stakeholders, Commercial, Operations, Engineering, Royal Navy and Key Suppliers, to ensure the supply chain requirements are understood, planned and delivered to the required levels of quality, schedule adherence and cost. This is a highly complex role developing and managing the Materials Supply Plan and strategies for this strategically important and highly complex program.
Core duties\:
- You will lead all supply chain activities within the T45 Programme, to provide bid support, operational performance management, tactical issue resolution, ensuring Project revenue, budget performance and customer satisfaction targets are achieved
- You will manage the full project life-cycle, ensuring Supply chain outputs are met e.g. Bid deliverables, Supply Chain Management Plans, RBA inputs, Phase Reviews, Design/Technical reviews as required by the T45 Project
- You will be the prime point of contact for all project related procurement issues and liaise with the Procurement Manager for material and sub-contracted services to address reported issues
- You will ensure known Supply Chain risks are understood within the project and mitigation plans are agreed and protect the commercial interests of the company and where necessary captured in either the Project or Supply Chain Risk Registers
- You will act as a change agent for Supply Chain within the project environment, assist in the education and communications of the strategies developed
- You will manage the Supply Chain project performance, budget and risk and report into the project contract review pack
- You will establish and maintain proven relationships with all key internal and external stakeholders, (customers/suppliers/functional peers) maintaining regular communication and managing expectations
Essential Skills\:
- You will have experience working within a Procurement or Supply Chain function
- You will hold proven commercial and contractual acumen. This will be demonstrated through managing internal and external stakeholders
- You will be able to lead projects across multiple disciplines
- You will be a experienced supply chain lead within major complex programmes
The Ship Repair Supply Chain Team\:
You will contribute to the development of the Warship Support Supply Chain function to harness opportunities for operations delivery, the function and BAE wide strategic initiatives. This will include providing governance for all processes associated with the supply of materials.
