Supply Chain Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Supply Chain Specialist based in the United States.

This role sits at the core of a complex, multi-site manufacturing supply chain, ensuring materials, services, and inventory flow efficiently to support production and customer demand.
You will play a key role in coordinating procurement activities across domestic and international suppliers while maintaining optimal inventory levels across manufacturing facilities.
The position requires a balance of analytical thinking and operational responsiveness to manage demand fluctuations and supply continuity.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to consolidate data, improve forecasting accuracy, and enhance end-to-end supply chain performance.
A strong focus is placed on process improvement, KPI tracking, and identifying opportunities to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
This is a fast-paced, data-driven environment where precision, communication, and adaptability are essential.

Accountabilities:

  • Manage purchase orders across domestic and international suppliers, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with production needs.
  • Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels across multiple manufacturing facilities, balancing supply availability with demand fluctuations.
  • Analyze customer demand patterns and adjust procurement and supply plans accordingly to ensure continuity of operations.
  • Consolidate and interpret supply chain data from multiple sites to support forecasting, planning, and supplier coordination.
  • Expedite, modify, or cancel purchase orders as needed to align with production schedules and inventory targets.
  • Develop and maintain supply chain reporting tools, processes, and KPIs to track performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Evaluate existing supply chain processes and recommend or implement enhancements to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure smooth operational execution.

  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; or 3+ years of relevant purchasing/supply chain experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
    • Strong analytical and business acumen with the ability to interpret large and complex data sets.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
    • Solid understanding of supply chain, transportation, and logistics principles.
    • Experience working with ERP or MRP systems is highly preferred, especially Microsoft Dynamics.
    • Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
    • Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented and proactive mindset.
    • Experience with procurement, forecasting, and inventory planning processes in a manufacturing context.
    • APICS/ASCM or ISM certification is a plus but not required.
