Supply Operations Quality US Distribution Lead

You will serve as a trusted quality leader across warehousing, transportation, cold chain, and logistics activities, partnering across functions to protect product quality, enable supply continuity, and strengthen inspection readiness across the network.

What You Will Achieve

In this role, you will:

  • Provide end-to-end quality oversight for U.S. distribution operations, including warehousing, transportation, and cold chain activities.
  • Serve as the senior quality authority for assigned logistics and distribution sites, using sound, risk-based judgment to support compliant and efficient operations.
  • Lead regulatory, internal, and customer inspection readiness activities, including preparation, hosting, response strategy, and remediation.
  • Drive effective governance of deviations, CAPAs, change controls, audits, and other quality system processes.
  • Partner with stakeholders across Supply Chain, Regulatory, Market Quality, Security, and commercial teams to resolve complex quality issues and protect product supply.
  • Use quality metrics, trends, and operational insights to identify risks, improve processes, and strengthen overall system performance.
  • Lead and develop colleagues by building capability, strengthening quality culture, and supporting succession planning and organizational growth.

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)

  • BA/BS with 6+ years of experience in scientific, technical, or related discipline or MBA/MS with 5+ years of experience or PhD/JD with 1+ year of experience or MD/DVM with any years of relevant experience
  • Significant experience in pharmaceutical quality, supply chain, manufacturing, distribution, or another highly regulated environment.
  • Strong knowledge of GMP and GDP requirements and how they apply to logistics, storage, transportation, and product quality.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting or leading regulatory inspections and audits, including preparation and follow-through.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, coach colleagues, and build organizational capability.
  • Strong decision-making, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience working with quality systems and digital tools such as SAP, Veeva Vault, and Microsoft Office 365.

Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)

  • Experience leading quality oversight for third-party logistics providers or multi-site distribution networks.
  • Demonstrated success driving inspection readiness and sustainable remediation in complex operational environments.
  • Experience leading process simplification, standardization, or digital enablement initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of cold chain operations, transportation quality risks, and supply continuity planning.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead through ambiguity, change, and high-impact quality events.
  • Experience using common AI tools, including generative technologies such
    as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to support problem solving and enhance



PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to work in both office and operational distribution environments. Requires routine use of computer and communication systems, and the ability to sit, stand, and walk for periods of time during meetings, site visits, inspections, and operational observations. Domestic travel may be required based on business needs.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $139,100.00 to $231,900.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
