Support Analyst, FICC and EQD Applications, Information Technology

Key Areas of Responsibilities

  • Monitoring production environment and act on production incidents
  • Work on Service Request Fulfillment, Incident Management, Problem Management and Change Management.
  • Manage weekend events like software releases, BCP testing, etc.
  • Status reporting on Health Checks, Changes, Incidents, Capacity and Performance.
  • Documentation of Application Knowledgebase, Process.
  • Make monitoring tool changes aligned with changing requirements or gaps observed/reported.
  • Proactively highlight risk any risks observed and suggest ways to mitigate impact.
  • Execution of end of day batch processes, monitor and escalate issues to the point of contact.
  • Continuous Improvement Focus and Tooling to improve efficiency
  • Coordinate with primary stakeholders regarding strategic release management planning activities, including socialization and associated communications.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or IT related area
  • 3+ years Support experience in an Investment Banking or Financial Domain [Must Have]
  • Be proficient in at least one of these common programming languages: Python, Shell scripting, [Must Have]
  • Strong in SQL, Linux, Scripting using Bash / Ksh. [Must Have]
  • Familiar with DevOps stacks like Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Experience in Calypso is preferred.
  • Strong understanding in entire software lifecycle, from development to production support
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong desire to learn new technologies trading workflow.
  • Open-minded to adopt and propose best practice.
  • 3 years of experience in production support.
  • Experience in production support practice like incident communication / incident management / change management
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, attention to Root Cause Analysis and focus on Long- term solutions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
