Surgical Oncologist - Physician - INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center / INTEGRIS Health Cancer Institute
INTEGRIS Health, Oklahoma's largest not-for-profit health system, is seeking a BC/BE Surgical Oncologist to join our growing multidisciplinary sub-specialized cancer team in Oklahoma City. We are expanding our oncology service line and this is a top priority position. The ideal candidate will possess advanced training in the surgical management of complex malignancies and have a strong commitment to delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care.
In this new position you can expect to:
- Practice within a tertiary care center offering strong subspecialty support
- Diagnose and treat malignancies
- Perform complex oncologic surgeries, including minimally invasive and robotic procedures
- Collaborate with well-established integrated medical and radiation oncologists
- Participate in tumor boards and multidisciplinary case conferences
- Provide call coverage as needed
- Participate in clinical trials
- Utlize Epic EMR (is system-wide)
- Actively participate in program development and growth initiatives
The Physician provides direct patient care.

The Physician responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Thoroughly evaluates and manages each patient appropriately and documents information completely by use of written notes or dictation on a timely basis
- Identifies relevant medical issues accurately and uses appropriate procedures and testing
- Completes and maintains problem list, medication list, disease management forms, preventative maintenance flow sheets and other medical record forms
- Participates in the quality improvement and medical management plans as directed by the Medical Operating Committee
- Provides direction to staff members for an efficient and smooth running team
- Ensures fiscal viability of the practice
- Complies with policies and procedures if applicable.
- The Physician is responsible for patients.

Moderate exposure to hazardous risks, including potential for exposure to infections and communicable diseases, blood and body fluids, electrical equipment, chemicals. Potential for bodily injury related to lifting and incidents of workplace violence. Must follow universal safety precautions. Exposed to constant interruptions, noise, disagreeable odors, and assorted chemicals.
