We\nprovide comprehensive services across prevention, care, support, and treatment,\nparticularly for those affected by HIV and other infectious diseases.<\/span><\/span> <\/p> <\/span><\/span><\/div>YRGMERF\nis anticipating a project to strengthen the Urban Ecosystem Against Future\nDisease Threats by implementing a framework for urban\-peri\-urban coordination.\nThis project if commissioned will require a team of below positions to support\nthe coordination, implementation and monitoring of several components.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>Key Responsibilities<\/span><\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/p>The\nSurveillance Officer will be responsible for supporting the project activities\nin the designated municipal corporation and peri\-urban areas, coordination with\nstakeholders. Will report to Project Lead based at Bengaluru. Will work closely\nwith other team members.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p> <\/span><\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/p>Project\nImplementation Support<\/span><\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>- Will\nbe responsible to ensure that the proposed activities are considering current\ndisease patterns as well as requirements of the State and Disease health\ndepartment.<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>- Ensures\nthat the staff are well trained on use of data for program implementation and\ndocumentation.<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>- Supports\nin designing various tools for secondary information collection, analysis and\nuse in the project.<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span> <\/li><\/ul>Urban\nand Peri\-urban Coordination Support<\/span><\/span><\/b> <\/p>- Analyses\nthe disease surveillance systems in place both the urban and peri\-urban areas\nof the designated project geographies. What are the contributing factors and\ntheir association with disease frequency, severity and spill over. Prepare\nreports on these patterns including the factors associated with previous\noutbreaks.<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>- Supports\nin preparing report on the preparedness of health facilities, staff capacity to\naddress any spill\-over or outbreaks in future. What are the key resources that\ncan be established within the project resources to provide on the job skilling.<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>- Supports\nin preparation of other stakeholders who could contribute in early reporting\nusing existing IDSP tools including those in private sector. Helps in\npreparation of a landscaping report on current practices and how those can be\naligned with One Health activities.<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>- Supports\nin documentation of various project activities related to One Health, outbreak\npreparedness by discussing with the stakeholders and participants.<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>- Helps\nin understanding the peri\-urban vulnerability pattern to disease outbreak in\nthe designated area and facilitates preparation of a city action plan that\nguides several activities under the project as well as through other resources.<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>- Helps\nin understanding current practices in Info\-demic management, how those practices\nhave been successful in managing better surveillance and management of\noutbreaks in both urban and peri\-urban zones.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
