SVP / Head of Product Management (PTX6326)

Build the Product Organization We Actually Need

RealManage is rebuilding its technology platform and transforming into a true product company. We are not looking for a Head of Product to maintain a backlog. We are looking for the person who will stand up a modern product organization from the studs and prove, week after week, that we are solving the right problems for the right people.

This is an opinionated role for an opinionated leader. We expect a clear philosophy of how great product organizations work, why empowered teams outperform feature factories, how discovery actually changes what gets built, and how data either confirms or kills a hypothesis. We expect that philosophy to be grounded in years of doing the work, not just reading the books. And we expect every decision to be measured, because we believe an unmeasured product decision is a guess wearing a suit.

If you have built and scaled product organizations before, can articulate a coherent worldview on how product should be practiced, and have the receipts to back it up, this seat was designed for you.

What You Will Do

Set the philosophy and the strategy.

  • Define a product operating philosophy for RealManage that everyone in the company can understand and quote back to you
  • Translate company strategy into a multi-year product vision and the near-term bets that get us there
  • Replace feature roadmaps with outcome roadmaps tied to business and customer metrics that the executive team and board can read in under five minutes

Build the organization.

  • Hire, level, coach, and where needed, replace the product leaders and ICs who will run our squads
  • Design the operating model: team topology, decision rights, rituals, career ladders, and the hand-off points with engineering, design, and operations
  • Establish a hiring bar that you defend publicly and refuse to lower under deadline pressure
  • Create a development path for product managers so the next generation of product leaders at RealManage grows from within

Institutionalize discovery.

  • Make continuous product discovery the default mode of work across every product team, not a workshop we attended once
  • Embed customer interviews, opportunity mapping, assumption testing, and structured experimentation into how teams plan and prioritize
  • Hold teams accountable for evidence, not opinions, before they commit to building

Measure everything.

  • Pair every product bet with a hypothesis, a leading indicator, and a lagging outcome metric defined before work begins
  • Build a product analytics practice that gives every team self-serve access to the data they need and the literacy to use it well
  • Run quarterly reviews where teams defend results against their stated metrics, not the activity they completed
  • Kill, pivot, or double down on initiatives based on what the data actually says

Use AI where it pays off.

  • Treat AI as a productivity multiplier for product teams and as a new surface where we can build customer value, while keeping vision, judgment, and customer empathy at the center
  • Adopt AI tooling for research synthesis, prototyping, prioritization, and analytics where it measurably accelerates the work
  • Pressure-test every AI-driven product idea against the same evidence bar as everything else

Lead across the company.

  • Partner with the CTO and engineering leadership so product and technology investments compound each other
  • Work as a peer to the executive team and a credible voice in front of the board on product strategy, performance, and trade-offs
  • Bring transparency to prioritization so the rest of the company understands what we are doing, what we are not doing, and why
  • Show up in person regularly at the Plano office for executive collaboration and out in our markets to spend time with customers and operators
