About The Department

UOB Innovation Hub 2 (InnoHub2) is a UOB-wholly owned subsidiary and a Centre of Excellence based in Malaysia, providing Group Business Services (GBS) to support the UOB Group. Started in 2021 with technology application design, development and support, InnoHub2 is expanding beyond technology services to deliver other business services to support the Bank’s growth ambition. Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for gathering, analysing, and documenting business and system requirements for payment systems.
  • Act as the bridge between business users, operations, and IT development teams.
  • Focus on payment domains including remittance, bulk payments, and real-time local payment schemes.
  • Conduct discussions with users and product owners.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional and system requirements.
  • Identify gaps, risks, and dependencies in payment processes.

Payment Systems Coverage

  • Remittance (inward/outward)
  • Bulk payments (e.g., corporate payroll & payments)
  • Real-time payments (e.g., DuitNow, PayNow, GIRO, FAST, FPS, CITAD)
  • Banker’s Cheque / Cashier’s Order
  • Understand end-to-end payment lifecycle: Initiation → Validation → Processing → Settlement → Reconciliation

Functional Specification Documentation

  • Prepare detailed costing of system changes
  • Prepare detailed Functional Specification Documents (FSD)
  • Include process flows, use cases, data mapping, and business rules
  • Define interface specifications (API, file-based, host-to-host)
  • Present FSD to business users and obtain sign-off

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as liaison between business, operations, and IT
  • Facilitate requirement clarification and walkthrough sessions

Solution & Process Design

  • Propose system and process improvements
  • Support payment workflow and exception handling design
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and scheme requirements

Testing

  • Validate of test cases in SIT and UAT phases
  • Ensure the test coverage are comply with system design

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT,or related field
  • 5–8+ years of experience as System/Business Analyst in banking
  • Experience in payment systems preferred
  • Strong knowledge of banking payment systems
  • Experience with real-time payments, GIRO and remittance
  • Ability to write FSD/BRD documents
  • Experience in process flow and data mapping
  • Understanding of APIs and system integration
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
