About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced System Design Engineer – Embedded Software Expert to join a global engineering organization developing advanced vehicle thermal management systems for next-generation commercial vehicles. This role focuses on designing and developing embedded application software that optimizes vehicle cooling, heating, and climate control systems across Internal Combustion Engine (ICE), Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), and Fuel Cell platforms.

You will work within an Agile development environment, contributing to both new product development and the continuous improvement of existing systems while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain embedded application software for thermal management systems.

  • Perform requirement analysis, software architecture, design, implementation, documentation, testing, and verification.

  • Develop and enhance control strategies for coolant loop and thermal management applications.

  • Lead system engineering activities and support technical decision-making within the team.

  • Integrate software components and ensure delivery quality before release.

  • Perform functional verification, system tuning, and calibration.

  • Support software development throughout the complete product lifecycle.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including testing, validation, electromobility, and system engineering.

  • Participate in early-phase concept development and technical roadmap planning.

  • Analyze test results from simulation, rig, and vehicle testing to improve system performance.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to engineering best practices.

  • Mentor team members and share technical knowledge across the organization.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related engineering discipline.

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Embedded Software Development.

  • Strong experience in embedded software design and implementation.

  • Experience developing control strategies and software verification.

  • Hands-on experience in functional verification, system tuning, and calibration.

  • Strong understanding of systems engineering and embedded software development lifecycle.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across global teams.

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
