System Handover Engineer

This is a hybrid role, open to candidates within commutable distance of Bridgwater or those open to relocation, with support available. You will support system delivery from installation through commissioning to final handover.
Your future team focuses on improving quality, readiness, and confidence in system handovers.

๐Ÿ“„ Challenge contractor documentation quality, completeness, and submission timeliness
๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Resolve incomplete, late, or non-compliant handover documentation issues
๐Ÿ” Support system walkdowns verifying installation completeness and readiness
๐Ÿ“Š Track system handover schedules and report progress accurately
๐Ÿงฉ Support open point categorisation, agreement, and dispute resolution
๐Ÿ—‚๏ธ Maintain accurate records within completions and handover databases
๐Ÿ” Interface with configuration management to confirm system configuration accuracy
๐Ÿ“˜ Support development of handover procedures, guidance, and work instructions

Letโ€™s start by saying that previous nuclear experience is beneficial but not essential. We actively encourage applications from engineers in other highly regulated sectors who are keen to transition into nuclear and fusion environments. We also recognise that no candidate will meet every requirement listed below, so if you only have 5 or 6 of the required skills, please donโ€™t hesitate.

๐Ÿ“‚ Strong ability recovering late or incomplete contractor documentation
๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Confident stakeholder engagement and contractor challenge capability
๐Ÿšถ Hands-on experience completing multi-discipline system walkdowns
๐Ÿ—„๏ธ Working knowledge of completions and handover systems and processes
โš ๏ธ Experience within regulated or safety-critical environments
๐Ÿ“‘ Understanding of NEC and or FIDIC style contracts
๐Ÿ“œ Knowledge of CDM Regulations and quality assurance requirements
