Jovian Concepts, LLC is looking\nto hire a Systems Administrator Level 3 in support of Linux environments for a great opportunity in the\nAnnapolis Junction area.

The ideal candidate will be\nresponsible for providing support for implementation, troubleshooting and\nmaintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. Manages IT system\ninfrastructure and any processes related to these systems. Provides support to\nIT systems including day\-to\-day operations,monitoring and problem resolution for all of the\nclient/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. Provides Tier 1\n(Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and\nresolution of problems. Provides support for the escalation and communication\nof status to agency management and internal customers. Provides support for the\ndispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution\nprocess. Configures and manages LINUX and Windows operating systems and\ninstalls/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity\nand configures network components along with implementing operating systems\nenhancements to improve reliability and performance.<\/span>

  • Experience\n with the following: LINUX, containerization, KVM virtualization, Ansible/SALT automation<\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Great deal\n of experience with SSP compliance, maintaining STE/STN compliance and\n support on Linux systems, managing accounts, network rights, access to\n systems and equipment and implementing security procedures and tools. Configure\n and install systems hardware or software and maintain server and domain\n security requirements. <\/span><\/span>

  • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting\n and maintenance of IT systems.<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of\nproblems<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification,\ndiagnosis and resolution\nof problems<\/span><\/span>

  • Provide in\-depth experience in trouble\-shooting IT systems<\/span><\/span>

  • Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal\ncustomers for escalated\ntickets<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains\ninvolved in the resolution\nprocess<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Configure and manage LINUX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems\nand installs/loads\noperating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure\nnetwork components,\nalong with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability\nand performance<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Support the design of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Possess a working knowledge and understanding of system administration\ninterdependencies as part\nof the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)<\/span><\/span>

  • Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware,\napplications and software\nintegration<\/span><\/span>

    Must have:<\/span>

    • Experience\n with LINUX<\/span><\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Experience with storage management <\/span><\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Containerization experience, KVM virtualization<\/span><\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Experience\n with automation tools is a bonus such as Ansible/SALT.<\/span><\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Scripting experience with Bash,Perl, Python etc.<\/span><\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Experience with FreeIPA.<\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Application management support and general troubleshooting.<\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Have a good deal\n of experience with SSP compliance, maintaining STE/STN compliance and\n support on Linux systems.<\/span><\/span>

      Qualifications for System Administrator Level 2:<\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/div>
      • Ten (10) years experience as a SA in programs and\ncontracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. <\/span>
        <\/span><\/span><\/li>
      • Bachelor\u2019s degree in a technical\ndiscipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5)\nyears of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor\u2019s\ndegree. <\/span><\/span><\/span>
        <\/span><\/span><\/li>
      • Compliance with DoD 8570; such as Security + CE or a qualifying certification is required.<\/span><\/span>

        • Fifteen (15) years experience as a SA in programs and\ncontracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. <\/span><\/span>
          <\/li>
        • Bachelor\u2019s degree in a technical\ndiscipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5)\nyears of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor\u2019s\ndegree. <\/span><\/span><\/span>
          <\/li>
        • Compliance with DoD 8570 IAT Level 2; such as Security + CE or a qualifying certification is required.<\/span><\/span>
