Responsibilities
A Day in the Life of a Systems Administrator
As Systems Administrator for Liberty Military Housing, you will be responsible for the overall IT operations of a portfolio of multi-family residential communities. You will be Supporting the computers, printers, copiers, scanners, software applications. You will contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. You will need to stay current with, and regularly communicates and mitigates material risks within area of responsibility.
Your Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- On-site and remote support of a Windows based computer network.
- Responding to general IT inquires, answering questions, creating tickets and troubleshooting issues.
- Monitoring and maintaining web help desk ticket queue.
- Using remote access tools and phone support to walk customers through problem solving process.
- Daily operation support of firewalls, user management, and IT equipment.
- Documenting changes to the overall network.
- Identifying and recommending new technology solutions.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the office setup and the equipment contained therein.
- Assists with system upgrades, implementation, and maintenance when required.
- Continuously stays up to date with systems changes and updates.
- Communicating with the technology team and other departments as collaboration requires.
- Guiding and supporting the implementation of new software and hardware.
- Performs other responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
What You Need For Success:
- 5+ years of IT industry experience.
- 5+ years of working in a multi-site, widely distributed, office environment.
- Have a strong technical background, including working knowledge of network management protocols, networking architecture, authentication practices, access control systems, security cameras other physical security systems.
- Must demonstrate technical knowledge of data systems security procedures and familiarity with systems hardware and software.
- Excellent customer service & communication skills. Exceptional understanding of each issue along with the ability to communicate between technical and non-technical people is a must.
- Multifaceted IT background with proven ability to hyper-task with daily operations while concurrently progressing short- and long-term projects.
- It is important to keep abreast of industry security trends and developments, as well as applicable government regulations.
- Must be able to multi-task, balance and prioritize multiple issues at multiple locations.
- Self-motivated. Must be able to work independently with little supervision.
- Ability to travel to other regional locations for work, training, meetings, and other work-related activities >10%.
- Must be able to deal with a fast-paced, constantly changing work environment, including handling multiple tasks daily.
- Team Player. Must be able communicate issues, solutions, ideas across IT department to ensure cross-training, proper handoffs/escalations, etc.
- The position requires mobility within the office; use of a computer and other office machinery such as a scanner and copy machine.
- Ability to independently lift/carry supplies or equipment up to 25 lbs.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License or ability to commute to office, sites, conferences.
- Requires use of personal mobile device (company will reimburse for use).
- Must be able to clear additional background checks for military base access.
Pay Range $32.00 - $41.00 / hourly plus bonus
