The Principal Data Flow Engineer is a senior technical leader\nresponsible for designing, integrating, and sustaining enterprise\-scale\ndataflow architectures that support mission\-critical analytics across secure\ncloud and distributed environments. This role oversees high\-availability Linux\nand Cloudera Hadoop infrastructures, develops and maintains end\-to\-end dataflow\nsolutions using technologies such as Niagara files and XKS, and ensures\nreliable, secure, and compliant data ingestion, processing, and delivery. The\nposition also leads automation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and DevOps\ninitiatives to improve system performance and operational efficiency while\ncoordinating across engineering, operations, analytics, and stakeholder teams\nto deploy scalable, resilient, and mission\-focused dataflow capabilities<\/span>\u200b<\/span><\/span>

Primary Responsibilities<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>

  • Lead the design,\n integration, and sustainment of complex enterprise dataflow architectures\n supporting mission\-critical analytics, ensuring reliable ingestion,\n processing, routing, and delivery across large\-scale cloud and distributed\n environments.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Manage and\n optimize high\-availability Linux and Cloudera Hadoop cloud\n infrastructures, including virtual machines, storage containers, and\n enterprise data repositories, to support thousands of secure operational\n dataflows.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Engineer and\n maintain end\-to\-end dataflow solutions using technologies such as\n Niagarafiles and XKS, and related processing systems, ensuring schema\n compatibility, metadata integrity, and proper data governance throughout\n the lifecycle.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Develop and\n implement monitoring, troubleshooting, and automation strategies utilizing\n system instrumentation, cron scripting, logging, and operational\n monitoring tools to improve system continuity, performance, and incident\n response capabilities.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Provide technical\n leadership for DevOps and Agile/Scrum initiatives, including task\n prioritization, workflow modernization, requirements management, and\n cross\-functional coordination to improve operational efficiency and team\n performance.<\/span>

  • Ensure compliance\n with enterprise security, classification, and data handling requirements\n by applying deep knowledge of intelligence community governance policies,\n access controls, and secure data routing methodologies.<\/span>

  • Coordinate across\n engineering, operations, analytics, and stakeholder organizations to\n deploy new capabilities, transition systems into production, establish\n standard operating procedures, and support enterprise\-wide mission\n objectives through scalable and resilient dataflow solutions.<\/span>

    Basic Qualifications<\/span><\/b>
    <\/p>

    • Security Clearance\n Requirement: Active TS/SCI with polygraph<\/span><\/b>
      <\/li>
    • Bachelor\u2019s degree\n in a Qualified Engineering Field or related discipline from an accredited\n college or university with twenty (20) years of systems engineering\n experience. In lieu of a bachelor\u2019s degree, candidates may qualify with a\n master\u2019s degree and eighteen (18) years of experience, a PhD and sixteen\n (16) years of experience, or twenty\-four (24) years of systems engineering\n experience with no degree.<\/span>
