About the Role
We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join the Core IT Systems & Infrastructure team, supporting a geographically distributed organisation across Malta, Greece, London, and the US.
In this role, you will own and operate core enterprise infrastructure, working across onprem, cloud, and SaaS platforms. You will play a key role in driving reliability, security, automation, and continuous improvement across the corporate IT estate, while acting as a senior technical escalation point and trusted advisor to stakeholders.
So, what will you be doing?
- Own, manage and improve the company’s corporate IT infrastructure, including Microsoft Entra, Azure, Windows Active Directory, virtualisation, security, IaaS, SaaS, SSO integration and cloud application management.
- Lead Microsoft 365 operations, including automation (PowerShell), monitoring, troubleshooting, tenant administration, and migration activities.
- Act as a senior escalation point (2nd / 3rd line) for complex infrastructure and identity-related incidents.
- Design, document, and continuously improve systems to increase security, resilience, and operational efficiency.
- Proactively monitor infrastructure health and address risks before service impact.
- Support audit and compliance activities, driving remediation and control improvements.
- Research, evaluate, and help introduce new infrastructure and platform technologies.
- Actively participate in architecture and tooling decisions for infrastructure-related initiatives.
And what are we looking for?
- Strong hands-on experience managing Microsoft 365, Entra, Azure, identity, conditional access, licensing, and tenant-level configuration in mid-to-large environments.
- Proven experience operating and supporting corporate IT infrastructure at scale (1,000+ users).
- Strong PowerShell scripting skills, with a focus on automation and operational efficiency.
- Solid understanding of identity and access management concepts, including SSO, IAM and conditional access.
- Hands-on experience deploying and managing workloads across AWS and Azure, including IaaS, PaaS, and identity integration.
- Practical Linux administration experience (RedHat/CentOS) and exposure to web services (e.g. Nginx).
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience deploying and managing workloads across other cloud services such as AWS and GCP
- Working knowledge of Linux administration for supporting infrastructure, services, and operational scripting.
- Experience using AI tools to enhance productivity, automation and documentation.
Salary Range - €45,000 - €55,000
