Work you’ll do

In Southeast Asia, a vast economic region with a population approaching 700 million, the investment appetite of Japanese companies has been increasing in recent years. As Japanese companies expand and diversify their businesses in Southeast Asia, there has been a growing demand for consultations on technology-driven transformations. Our department has been experiencing steady growth over the past three years, particularly since COVID-19, with a significant increase in requests for projects aimed at enhancing global, end-to-end management and management transparency. While the themes vary, common topics include:

  • Visualization

  • Strengthening governance

  • Inventory and SCM information management

  • Data-driven decision-making

These themes are frequently discussed, either individually or in combination. The Technology Strategy & Transformation (TS&T) unit has set its mission to "address corporate management challenges with technology/digital expertise, jointly promote and support transformation, and contribute to further corporate value creation." We contribute to solving the increasingly complex and advanced management issues of our clients.

Leveraging our long-standing expertise as "management strategy consultants" at Deloitte Consulting, we address a wide range of topics, from strategic planning at the management strategy level to planning, conceptualization, driving transformation, and accompanying growth.

In Southeast Asia, themes often start earlier than in Japan, and we may deal with topics such as establishing new companies or redesigning business units. We have been recognized for our ability to provide comprehensive support, including technology, for such themes, and as the number of opportunities is expected to increase further in the future, we have decided to actively recruit for this position.

We provide consulting services focusing on technology/digital-related management issues faced by executives such as CDOs and CIOs.

Formulation of strategies and visions for creating new social and corporate values:

  • Development of strategies and execution plans for new technology-related businesses

  • Design of DX vision/strategy and operating models

Development of holistic optimization plans for the entire organization:

  • Support for the enhancement and optimization of technology/digital governance globally

  • Support for the optimization of enterprise IT as a whole or specific architecture areas

In TS&T, specific themes include the following examples:

  • Architecture Area

Using Deloitte's offerings on enterprise architecture, we support the execution of "management transformation" by utilizing the existing assets of corporate groups to their fullest extent, translating them into achievable specifics rather than unrealistic plans. One of the key factors in the overall reform of enterprise architecture is the structural reform of the IT environment. You will be responsible for offerings that support transformation execution from defining architecture concepts for legacy modernization, digital platforms, and cloud journeys to execution.

  • ServiceNow & Enterprise Experience Area

Utilizing solutions provided by ServiceNow, an ecosystem partner with which Deloitte has strategically partnered globally, you will be responsible for offerings that support client transformation from advisory to implementation and operation, focusing on IT business transformation, improvement of employee experience, and industry-specific business DX.

TS&T consultants collaborate with various teams within the organization, not just working alone, to advance projects. For example, when developing a DX strategy for companies in specific industries, they collaborate with industry consultants who have deep industry knowledge. When supporting the establishment of a new digital organization, they work with M&A consultants who have expertise in organizational function design. Similarly, when developing technology architecture strategies, they collaborate with cloud strategy consultants. Through such collaborations, they can further broaden their experience as consultants.

As Senior Consultant, you will demonstrate leadership within a mixed team of local and JCS team members, leading the team while leveraging your personal expertise to support project case and client development.

Requirements:

  • Experience in projects at a consulting firm, vendor, or systems integrator (SIer) related to the themes described in the "Job Description"

  • Experience in directly negotiating with clients and leading project teams

  • Experience in leading projects

  • Native-level Japanese proficiency and business-level or higher English proficiency, or native-level English proficiency and business-level or higher Japanese proficiency

  • Currently employed at a consulting firm / IT vendor / SIer (either one of the followings required)

  • Currently employed at a consulting firm with engineering experience (Knowledge and implementation experience in architecture (cloud, data architecture, etc.), experience in the implementation and operation of ServiceNow, etc.)

  • Currently employed at a consulting firm with past experience at a business company

  • Experience in conceptualizing, establishing, and executing new businesses

  • Experience in planning and proposing business plans to management and business from a technology department perspective

  • Experience in driving transformation in the field, such as business reform

  • Those who have the following aspirations and mindset

  • Those who resonate with the mission of TS&T and strongly promote client transformation together with existing members

  • Those who want to propose solutions to executives such as CIOs and CDOs from a management perspective

  • Those who are actively involved in the development of new services and the creation of customer value, and are enthusiastic about creating new things that do not yet exist

  • Consulting experience related to Southeast Asia
