Second Foundation is a global energy trading company with around 450 employees across locations in Prague HQ (CZ), Zug (CH), Berlin (DE), Charlotte (USA), and Tokyo (JP). We specialize in power market trading and in the integration and optimization of renewable energy and battery storage systems. In parallel, we are actively expanding our own asset base, with a primary focus on battery storage.

Are you passionate about building high-performing teams and shaping talent strategy at a global scale?
We’re looking for an experienced, strategic, and hands-on Talent Acquisition Lead to head our in-house TA function at Second Foundation. In this role, you will lead and mentor our Talent Acquisition team, define and execute hiring strategy aligned with business growth, and take full ownership of recruitment outcomes across locations.
You’ll combine strategic oversight with operational excellence - acting as a trusted partner to leadership, leveraging data-driven market insights, driving employer branding activities, and ensuring our recruitment practices are scalable, efficient, and aligned with company standards.
What would you work on?
- Lead, mentor, and develop the internal Talent Acquisition team, fostering accountability, excellence, and alignment with business goals.
- Suggest and execute a global Talent Acquisition strategy that supports workforce planning and company growth.
- Take full ownership of recruitment outcomes, including quality of hire, time-to-fill, stakeholder satisfaction, and candidate experience.
- Build and lead a strong university relations strategy — develop long-term partnerships with key universities positioning Second Foundation as a long-term partner.
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior leaders and hiring managers, providing data-driven market insights and recruitment expertise.
- Oversee and continuously improve recruitment processes, ensuring scalability and alignment across all branches.
- Oversee Talent Acquisition setup and process alignment for new branches.
- Own and optimize the effective use of TA tools, systems, and analytics to drive informed decision-making.
What makes you a great candidate?
- Proven track record of leading Talent Acquisition function in fast-paced tech/fintech/software development/engineering environments; ideally, including team leadership.
- Solid experience in defining and driving recruitment strategy with full ownership of outcomes across multiple locations.
- Strong expertise in data-driven recruitment, market insights, and stakeholder partnership.
- Experience in employer branding and community building.
- Experience scaling recruitment processes across teams or locations.
- High level of independence, ownership, and strong communication skills in English and Czech.
