Talent Sourcer - Early Careers (German speaking) (FTC)
At Too Good To Go, we have an ambitious mission: to inspire and empower everyone to fight food waste together.
More than 1/3 of all food produced in the world is wasted. And that has a huge impact on the health of our planet. 10% of greenhouse gas emissions come from food waste and loss.
Through our marketplace app, we connect businesses that have unsold, surplus food, with consumers who can buy and enjoy it at ⅓ of retail value. We are a certified B Corporation with a mission to empower everyone to take action against food waste. Alongside our marketplace app, we create educational tools, explore new business solutions, and influence legislation to help reduce food waste.
We’re growing fast: Our community of 120 million registered users and 180,000 active partners across 20 countries, have together already saved over 500 million meals from going to waste
In 2023, Too Good To Go was recognised on Fortune's acclaimed 'Change the World' list, named as one of Deloitte's 'Best Managed Companies' and won a coveted 'Cultural Impact Award' at the annual Apple App Store Awards.
We’re looking for an exceptional Talent Sourcer to join the Global Talent Acquisition team at Too Good To Go on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.
Are you a proactive talent hunter who loves the thrill of identifying the next generation of sales superstars? Or do you have experience in sales and love the idea of transitioning into Talent Acquisition? If so, and you speak English and German to full professional proficiency, then we’d love to hear from you!
About the role
We are looking for a dynamic Talent Sourcer to fuel our global growth, with a primary focus on building our early-career sales pipelines for our Berlin and London hubs.
In this role, you will be the first point of contact and the face of our brand for ambitious, emerging talent. While your main playground will be European sales, you will also stretch your sourcing muscles by supporting hiring across our other global offices and occasionally supporting those hard-to-fill roles in other departments.
Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Operations Manager, you will collaborate closely with a Global Talent Acquisition Team who will support you, share insights and work together as one team.
Core duties
- Talent Pipeline Building: Proactively source, engage, and build a diverse pipeline of high-potential, early-career sales talent.
- Candidate Engagement: Craft compelling, personalised outreach strategies that make passive candidates stop and read, effectively selling our company culture and career growth opportunities.
- University Partnership Coordination: Coordinate our European campus recruitment initiatives by building meaningful relationships with career centres, student groups, and key academic institutions.
- Engagement Events: Develop, pilot and implement a calendar of events, ranging from external graduate fairs to in-house networking sessions, workshops, and panel discussions to drive relevant candidate interest in early careers sales roles.
- Content & Marketing: Work with Talent Acquisition, Communications & Marketing colleagues to experiment with and implement creative employer branding and recruitment strategies to drive traffic and engagement to our careers site.
- Collaboration & Integration: Work in partnership with Hiring Managers, local leaders and Marketing teams to ensure event themes align with business objectives and provide a high-quality candidate experience.
- Data Integrity: Keep our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) meticulously updated to ensure accurate data tracking and a seamless candidate experience.
About You & What You'll Bring
This is an early-career role, and we are fully ready to invest in your training, mentor you, and support you through a steep (but exciting!) learning curve. As such, there isn’t a "perfect candidate" on paper.
The requirement for this role is that you have full professional proficiency in both German and English (written and spoken). Beyond that, we are looking for a unique mix of energy, organisation, and curiosity. You might be the perfect person for this role if you one of these profiles describes you:
- The Up-and-Coming Sourcer: You already have some experience in recruitment or sourcing (agency or in-house). You know how to hunt for talent, especially in early careers, but you’re excited to step away from just sending LinkedIn messages and want to learn how to run live events and build campus partnerships.
- The Sales Professional Looking for a Pivot: You have a background in sales (B2B, tech, or recruitment agency sales) and love the thrill of the chase, but you want to pivot your career into Talent Acquisition. You already understand the sales mindset, making you perfect for finding our future sales stars.
- The Event Coordinator Ready for a New Challenge: You have experience organising, planning, and hosting events, but not necessarily in a HR or recruitment context. You are incredibly organised, a confident public speaker, and want to apply those skills to building a global talent community.
Core Traits We Are Looking For:
- A Fearless Communicator: You genuinely love talking to people, building relationships, and being the energetic face of our company at a university fair or on a video call.
- A Growth Mindset: You are comfortable with ambiguity, excited by the idea of trying new things, and ready to learn fast.
- Strong Organisational Skills: Between managing spreadsheets for event logistics and keeping candidate profiles updated in an ATS, you’ll need to be someone who naturally stays on top of the details.
Our values:
- We Win Together
- We Raise the Bar
- We Keep It Simple
- We Build A Legacy
- We Care
