Task Order Project Manager
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Task Order Project Manager based in the United States.
This role is focused on leading the successful execution of complex, high-impact task orders within a structured government contracting environment. You will coordinate across government stakeholders, technical teams, and program leadership to ensure delivery excellence, schedule adherence, and alignment with contractual requirements. Acting as a key delivery leader, you will support program management efforts while owning day-to-day oversight of assigned task orders. The position requires strong coordination skills, disciplined execution, and the ability to manage multiple moving parts in a compliance-driven environment. You will help translate contract requirements into actionable plans and ensure technical solutions are delivered effectively and on time. This is a highly collaborative role that blends project leadership, stakeholder management, and operational oversight in mission-critical IT programs.
Accountabilities:
- Lead the execution and delivery of large, complex task orders, ensuring alignment with contractual and performance requirements.
- Support the Program Manager in coordinating with government stakeholders, including KO, COR, and agency representatives.
- Oversee task order performance, schedules, and deliverables to ensure timely and successful execution.
- Coordinate across technical teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of solutions and services.
- Ensure technical implementations meet defined task order requirements and quality standards.
- Facilitate communication between government stakeholders, technical teams, and program leadership.
- Monitor progress and support reporting of task order performance against objectives.
- Contribute to overall program success by ensuring alignment with contract and operational goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience with increasing responsibility in IT or consulting environments.
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience managing teams or complex project initiatives.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent nationally recognized certification.
- Strong experience managing large-scale projects or task orders in structured or government environments.
- Excellent organizational, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive designation or Tier 3 (T3) clearance.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to manage relationships across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with SAP GRC, SAP security, cloud environments, or Agile methodologies is a strong plus.
