In legal operations at PwC, you will focus on managing and optimising the operational aspects of a legal team. Your work will involve streamlining processes, implementing technology solutions, and developing strategies to increase efficiency and reduce costs. You will be responsible to collaborate with cross-functional teams, oversee vendor relationships, and provide data-driven insights to support decision-making and improve overall legal department performance.

Key Responsibilities

As a NewLaw Intern, you'll work alongside experienced practitioners on engagements that bring together strategy, technology, and operational excellence. From day one, you'll be exposed to meaningful work, supported by experienced mentors and PwC's world-class learning ecosystem. Your responsibilities will include:

Support process transformation. Help the team with process mapping and documentation, gaining a structured view of how legal and tax functions can be optimised.
Conduct research. Assist in conducting research on legal tech, market trends, and industry practices to support client engagements and internal initiatives.
Apply GenAI to real problems. Use Generative AI tools to enhance research, drafting, automation, and knowledge sharing, gaining hands-on experience with the technologies reshaping the legal profession.
Craft compelling deliverables. Help prepare presentations, decks, and supporting materials that bring clarity and impact to client conversations.
Collaborate across teams. Work closely with experienced practitioners, technologists, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality client outcomes.

What we are looking for

We welcome curious, adaptable students who are excited to build a career at the intersection of law, business, and technology.

Business and Law students from local universities.
Students from adjacent disciplines (e.g., Information Systems, Data Analytics, Communications) with a strong interest in legal operations and digital transformation are equally welcome to apply.
Comfortable and interested in using Generative AI tools to enhance research, automation, and creativity.
Mastery of Microsoft applications such as PowerPoint, Excel, and design tools like Canva.
Detail-oriented and analytical, with a sharp eye for accuracy and clarity.
Highly motivated, confident, and creative — a self-starter who takes initiative.
A strong co-curricular activities record, demonstrating well-roundedness, leadership, and initiative.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
A growth-oriented mindset, with a genuine commitment to teamwork and excellence.
