TCM therapists play a multifaceted role within the healthcare system,offering complementary and alternative approaches to traditional medicaltreatment. Providing consultations, diagnoses, and various TCM therapies likeacupuncture, cupping, Tuina massage, and herbal prescriptions.

1. ClinicalPractice

· DeliverTCM therapist – including Acupuncture, Cupping, Tunia, Osteopathic Bonesettingand Herbal Prescription – in accordance with Singapore’s TCM Practitioners Actand clinic protocols.

· Utilisespecialised therapy techniques and in-house equipment to customise individualtreatment plans (training provided).

· Collaboratewith TCM physicians to formulate, review and adjust holistic treatment regimensand dispense prescribed medication safely.

2. PatientEngagement & Follow-Up

· Conductthorough patient assessments at each visit; record findings and progress in theclinic’s electronic medical record system.

· Providepatients with clear explanations of diagnoses, treatment plans and expectedoutcomes, addressing questions and concerns.

· Scheduleand perform follow-up calls or appointments to monitor recovery, adjusttherapies and ensure adherence to home-care instructions.

3. ClinicOperations & Hygiene

· Maintainstrict hygiene and sterilisation standards for treatment rooms, equipment andconsumables, in line with NEA and MOH guidelines.

· Ensuretreatment areas are clean, well-stocked and organised at all times; flaginventory shortages of herbs or disposables to the supervisor.

· Assistwith daily opening and closing procedures, including equipment checks, wastedisposal and safety inspections.

4. PatientEducation & Promotion

· Educatepatients on self-care techniques, lifestyle modifications and clinic services(e.g. wellness packages, product lines).

· Contributeto in-clinic workshops or community outreach events to raise awareness of TCMmodalities.

5. QualityAssurance & Professional Development

· Monitorand evaluate post-treatment outcomes; report any adverse events or patientfeedback promptly.

· Participatein regular case reviews, team meetings and mandatory continuing-educationworkshops to maintain your TCM practitioner licence (if any).

6. AdditionalDuties

Assist with ad-hoctasks or projects as directed by the clinic manager (e.g. equipmentcalibration, process improvement initiatives).
