<\/span><\/b>Founded in\n2004, by Poonam Bagai, herself a cancer survivor, CanKids KidsCan is a national\nNGO working in India <\/span>to address <\/span>the <\/span>needs <\/span>of <\/span>children <\/span>with <\/span>cancer <\/span>and <\/span>their <\/span>families. <\/span>CanKids <\/span>is <\/span>dedicated <\/span>to <\/span>driving <\/span>Change <\/span>for\nChildhood Cancer in India with an ambitious goal to achieve Universal health\ncoverage through 100% Access2Care & 100% Financial Protection by 2030\naligned to the WHO GICC (Global Initiative on Childhood Cancer) <\/span>and <\/span>Sustainable <\/span>Development <\/span>Goals, <\/span>thereby <\/span>securing <\/span>the <\/span>Rights <\/span>to <\/span>health, <\/span>education, <\/span>childhood, <\/span>pain\-free\nand palliative care and the Right to be heard for all children with cancer\n(0\-19 years) in India.<\/span>

CanKids is\nthe only organization in India working at all levels \- grassroots, district,\nstate, and national\- and partnering <\/span>and <\/span>supporting <\/span>hospitals, <\/span>health <\/span>authorities <\/span>and <\/span>professionals <\/span>for <\/span>the <\/span>last <\/span>20 <\/span>years <\/span>to <\/span>improve <\/span>the quality/standard of treatment, care, and other holistic support\nservices. Through its 141 CanKids Hospital Support Unit (CHSU) projects,\nCanKids ensures access to the best possible care for children with cancer and\ntheir families.<\/span>

The Department\nof Education at CanKids\u2026KidsCan represents education outside of a standard\nschool setting, for <\/span>children <\/span>undergoing <\/span>cancer <\/span>treatment. <\/span>Formal <\/span>Education <\/span>aims <\/span>at <\/span>activities <\/span>with <\/span>children <\/span>and <\/span>adults <\/span>that <\/span>will\nhelp them learn as per the curriculum and also provide for <\/span>cocurricular activities. Scholarships are\nprovided to children who have been reintegrated into their former schools. <\/span>
<\/p>

A Non\-Formal\nEducation is the wise, respectful and spontaneous process of cultivating\nlearning. It works through <\/span>conversation, <\/span>and <\/span>the <\/span>exploration <\/span>and <\/span>enlargement <\/span>of <\/span>experience. <\/span>Non\-Formal <\/span>education <\/span>has <\/span>activities with children and adults. It\nwill help the children to learn basic education, etiquettes and hygiene\nfactors.<\/span>

Through the Annual National Childhood\nCancer Excellence Awards (ANCCEA), students who are undergoing treatment <\/span>and <\/span>who <\/span>are <\/span>survivors, <\/span>are <\/span>felicitated <\/span>for <\/span>their <\/span>indomitable <\/span>will <\/span>and <\/span>courage <\/span>to <\/span>pursue <\/span>excellence <\/span>in academics, creativity, sports and science and technology.<\/span>

Teachers will be responsible for delivering structured learning experiences, tracking student progress,\nand engaging students in meaningful learning activities<\/b>. They will also\nwork closely with parents and caregivers to ensure continuity in education.\nTeachers will be responsible for ensuring personalized\nlearning plans, formal, non\-formal <\/span>and <\/span>therapeutic <\/span>education, <\/span>documentation, <\/span>and <\/span>holistic <\/span>student <\/span>development <\/b>through <\/span>interactive\nlearning and assessment\-based methodologies.<\/span>
