Application Requirements:

  • Hold or be eligible for a valid BC teaching certificate (ideally)

  • Personal Statement of Faith
  • Applicants should be committed Christians, adhering to an evangelical statement of faith, and active in a local church


Job Responsibilities:

    • Classroom Management: Maintain an organized, respectful, and productive learning environment in the absence of the regular teacher.
    • Lesson Implementation: Follow provided lesson plans to ensure continuity in learning, adapting as necessary to meet student needs.
    • Student Supervision: Oversee student activities and ensure their safety and well-being throughout the day, including recess and transitions.
    • Communication: Collaborate effectively with school staff, administrators, and students to ensure smooth operations and continuity of instruction.
    • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate attendance records and track student progress or behavior as required.
    • Adaptability: Be flexible and responsive to different subjects, grade levels, and student needs, often with little preparation time.
    • Behavior Management: Address student behavior issues promptly and fairly, following school policies and procedures.
    • Professionalism: Maintain a positive and professional attitude, respecting the school’s culture, policies, and community values.
