Teaching Assistant

Salary: Grade E, (£25,989-£26,824 FTE)

Hours of work: 8.30am - 3.05pm - 27.5 hrs per week term time (part-time would also be considered – 8.30am - 12.00pm)

Due to a rising pupil intake and the exciting expansion of our mainstream provision, we are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our growing team. Flexibility to work across all key stages would be advantageous.

All about the role:

As a Teaching Assistant you must be committed and flexible, be able to support groups and individual children with their learning. Being able to work as part of a team is essential as well as being able to use your own initiative. The successful candidate will need excellent communication and liaison skills and will be closely supported by a class teacher and wider team.

  • experienced and/or have the desire to work with children with additional needs.
  • flexible and patient with high expectations for every child to achieve.

  • enthusiastic, positive and forward looking with a sense of humour.

Candidates will need to demonstrate an ability to support pupils learning, self-esteem and behavioural development. Experience of supporting children with SEN in a school environment would be advantageous.
