Position Overview
Finishing Team Lead provides direction to the Finishing Line Operators regarding disposition of defective batteries to MRB and ensuring there is correct filing of all corrective issues. You will comply with all safety requirements and proper uses of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and meet and understand the Quality policy.
Areas of Focus
Finishing Team Lead will review and prioritize the production schedule. Additionally, Finishing Team Lead will provide directions, instructions and training as needed.
Responsibilities
• Review work operations to assure that production levels are maintained
• Stage materials confirm equipment setup and performs audits
• Able to operate a wide variety of tools and instruments such as, multi-meter, hand tools, power tools, etc
• Complete performance metrics, production reports and other reports and documentation as require; data entry is required
• Routinely performs set up and operate all equipment in the department (for example, HRD, wrapping machine, battery washer, battery dumper, automatic acid filler, date coder, air tester, etc.)
• Read meters and calculate averages during voltage testing for different types of batteries
• Other duties maybe assigned
• Completes required documentation for production, inventory, SPC, administration, etc.
• Completes required computer system input, analysis and reports relative to the area
• Identifies unsatisfactory employee performance, verbally notifies employees of procedure violations or behavior problems and informs Supervisor of performance events
• Communicate various company policies and procedures to employees
• May give verbal input regarding employee performance during employee review process
• Follow and maintain Lean activities (5S, housekeeping, hygiene, etc)
• Comply with all safety requirements and proper use of PPE
• Understand & practice the Quality policy
Basic Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2 – 3 years’ manufacturing/plant experience
• Forklift certification
