Team Leader
Horizon House, Inc. is a nationally recognized provider of services to adults with support needs due to developmental disabilities, behavioral health issues, and substance abuse. Horizon House is Pennsylvania’s oldest psychiatric rehabilitation agency. Since 1952, we have been dedicated to helping people with mental illness, drug and alcohol addictions, developmental/intellectual disabilities, and homelessness to stabilize their lives and to help them live as independently as possible in the community. With over 100 locations throughout South and North Eastern Pennsylvania and the state of Delaware, Horizon House provides services to a diverse population focusing on individual strength and choice.
Our Community Residential Rehabilitation program in Prospect Park, PA is seeking a dedicated professional to fill the following opening. The Team Leader coordinates and oversees the daily operations of the residences, to ensure a safe, healthy, and pleasant environment.
The Team Leader provides on-going review and assessment of client services and growth within the established system. Provides clinical supervision to the team promoting client advocacy, skill teaching and resource development. Ensures a continuity of services in compliance with funding sources and Agency Policy and Procedures.
Purpose:

Supervision Received:
· Receives general supervision from Program Director.
Supervision Exercised:
· Provides supervision to assigned staff.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Human Services/Social Sciences, Healthcare or related field, 5 years experience in Mental Health and substance abuse or any other combination that minimally meets regulatory compliance. Master's degree preferred.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Detail oriented.
· Superior assessment skills with knowledge of case management and counseling
· Ability to work well as team member and motivate staff.
· 1-2 years supervisory or management experience necessary.
Scope:
· Frequent talking and listening.
· Requires crisis intervention in emergency situations.
· Must be available for local travel and possess a valid driver's license.
· May be required to attend training to become a certified agency investigator. May conduct investigations and participate in the agency rotation of on-call investigators. This requires carrying a beeper and responding to investigation hotline calls during on-call beeper coverage.
