Team Leader – Autism & Complex Needs Support
Location: Hampden Park, Eastbourne
Pay: £15.25 per hour
Hours: 37 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Rolling rota, Monday – Sunday

Senior Support Worker or Team Leader ready to take the next step in your career?
SDR is seeking a confident and experienced leader to help launch a brand-new specialist support service in Eastbourne, supporting a young individual with autism, ADHD, learning disabilities and complex needs.
This is a unique opportunity to help shape a new service from the very beginning, creating a calm, structured and positive home environment while leading and supporting your team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading and supporting a small care team on shift
- Providing hands-on, person-centred support
- Supporting daily routines, activities and community access
- Mentoring and developing Support Workers
- Promoting Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approaches
- Working closely with management to develop the service
- Ensuring high standards of safeguarding and care delivery
This role includes a blend of:
- 30 hours direct support work
- 8 hours supernumerary / leadership time
Participation in the on-call rota is required.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
✔ Experienced in autism, learning disabilities or complex care
✔ Confident supporting behaviours that challenge or distress
✔ Calm, resilient and consistent under pressure
✔ An experienced Senior Support Worker or Team Leader
✔ A positive leader who can motivate and support others
✔ A driver with a full UK driving licence
Experience with Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and safeguarding procedures is highly desirable.
