Summary:
Responsible for providing technical support and guidance to contract poultry producers to ensure optimal bird health, welfare, and production performance. Key responsibilities include advising producers on housing, equipment, litter management, and farm sanitation; conducting farm visits and documenting flock performance, bird comfort, and equipment settings; monitoring bird health and feed consumption; coordinating feed orders, sample collection, chick placements, and catch schedules; and facilitating communication between hatchery, feed mill, live haul, and contract farms. This role also ensures compliance with production contracts, USDA regulations, and company standards while supporting the production of high-quality, cost-effective flocks. Additional responsibilities include assisting Broiler and Breeder Departments with chick placement coordination and other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 1+ years of relevant experience.
- Computer Skills: Basic proficiency with email, data entry, document templates, and simple database queries.
- Travel: Limited travel (1–5 trips per year).
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
