The Tech / Broker Governance / Post‑Entry Support role provides operational and compliance support for global trade activities, with a focus on customs broker governance, post‑entry corrections, and technical trade processes. This position plays an important role in ensuring accurate customs declarations, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness across import and export activities. The role partners closely with internal trade, transportation, and logistics teams as well as external customs brokers to support compliant and efficient cross‑border operations.
Key Responsibilities
Support customs broker governance activities, including adherence to defined standards, processes, and controls.
Coordinate and support post‑entry activities such as corrections, reconciliations, and amendments to customs filings.
Monitor customs entry data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with trade regulations.
Partner with internal trade compliance, logistics, and transportation teams to resolve entry‑related issues.
Support audits, assessments, and regulatory inquiries related to customs and trade activities.
Maintain documentation, records, and reporting to support audit readiness and internal controls.
Track performance metrics and trends related to broker quality, post‑entry activity, and compliance.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen trade compliance processes and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Education
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, International Trade, Business, Logistics, or a related field.
Preferred: Additional coursework or training in customs, trade compliance, or international logistics.
Experience and Skills
Required:
2–4 years of experience in trade compliance, customs operations, logistics, or related roles.
Working knowledge of customs processes, broker interactions, and post‑entry requirements.
Experience supporting audits, reconciliations, or regulatory reviews.
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
Ability to analyse data and identify compliance risks or trends.
Preferred:
Experience in a regulated industry such as medical devices, healthcare, or life sciences.
Familiarity with UK, EU, or global customs and trade regulations.
Experience working directly with customs brokers or freight forwarders.
Experience with ERP, trade compliance, or customs management systems.
Exposure to continuous improvement or operational excellence initiatives.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross‑functional, global environment.
Other
Language: English required; additional European languages preferred.
Travel: Up to 10%, primarily within Europe.
Certifications: Customs, trade compliance, or supply chain certifications (preferred).
