Technical Coordinator

Context
The Technical Coordinator is a key actor in project organization and delivery. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to operate effectively in a multicultural environment. The role reports to the Project Manager, Technical Design Lead or the Operation Manager.
Missions/Main Duties
- Coordinate design works across all technical disciplines (Architectural, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection) and perform quality control reviews.
- Attend and/or lead meetings with the different engineering disciplines to ensure seamless design.
- Conduct and support technical risk analyses;
- Ensure the production is performed aligned with the quality procedures
- Attend and/or lead meetings with the client to meet client specification and ensure overall client satisfaction.
- Organize technical design reviews to ensure consistency of design activities and proper handling of interfaces;
- Compile and prepare technical specifications from specific engineering disciplines to ensure consistency and quality of format and content.
- Manage and formalize input data requirements to be obtained from stakeholders internal or external to the design team
- Coordinate quantity and cost estimating works across all technical disciplines (Architectural, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection, systems) and perform quantity checks to ensure accuracy of estimates.
- Assist/lead in the preparation of bid and construction permit documents.
- Evaluate vendor/contractor qualifications.
- Evaluate cost/bid proposals and prepare recommendations for clients.
- Attend design workshops and reviews, or physically visit the project site as may be required.
- Attend training and seminars as may be beneficial to perform tasks.
- Other tasks may be instructed by the Production manager or Operation manager.
- Supervise the work conducted by the Civil Team.
Profile/Skills
5 years as technical coordinator for multidisciplinary project (preferred)
team management
interface management
design production and control
project progress reporting
good communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in BIM design software (AutoCAD, Revit) and project management tool is a plus.
Education:
- Bachelor/master degree in strict/civil/mechanical/electrical engineering or any relevant matter.
