Technical Delivery Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Delivery Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of enterprise-scale data platform transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end project delivery, translating business requirements into technical solutions, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful implementation of Data Lake, Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), and Datamart solutions.

This role requires strong stakeholder management, technical delivery expertise, project governance capabilities, and hands-on experience delivering large-scale data platform modernization and re-platforming programs within complex enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Delivery & Project Management

• Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery of enterprise data platform transformation and re-platforming initiatives.
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, resources, risks, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Establish project governance frameworks and ensure adherence to organizational delivery standards.
• Drive project status reporting, steering committee updates, and stakeholder communications.

Requirements Analysis & Solution Translation

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.
• Translate business objectives into actionable project plans and technical delivery roadmaps.
• Facilitate discussions between business users and technical teams to ensure alignment of requirements and solutions.
• Support requirement prioritization and impact assessments for project deliverables.

Technical Solution Delivery

• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and development teams to deliver scalable and sustainable technical solutions.
• Ensure technical solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, strategic objectives, and regulatory requirements.
• Support solution design reviews and implementation planning activities.
• Monitor delivery progress and ensure quality outcomes across all project phases.

Data Platform Delivery

• Lead initiatives involving:Enterprise Data LakesEnterprise Data Warehouses (EDW)DatamartsData Integration PlatformsData Migration and Re-platforming Programs
• Support modernization efforts involving hardware and software obsolescence remediation.
• Ensure successful delivery of data platform enhancements, migrations, and transformation projects.

Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact for business and technology stakeholders.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular project updates.
• Facilitate workshops, project reviews, and executive presentations.
• Build strong working relationships across business, technology, and vendor teams.

Risk & Resource Management

• Proactively identify project risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Develop mitigation and contingency plans to minimize project disruptions.
• Manage resource allocation and utilization across project teams.
• Ensure effective workload distribution and delivery capacity planning.

Quality Assurance & Governance

• Ensure compliance with organizational governance, risk, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor project deliverables against quality standards and acceptance criteria.
• Support project audits, reviews, and post-implementation assessments.
• Promote continuous improvement across delivery processes and methodologies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in IT project delivery, technical program management, or technology transformation initiatives.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing enterprise-scale Data Lake, Data Warehouse, or Data Platform projects.
• Proven experience delivering complex technology transformation or re-platforming programs.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and project delivery methodologies.
