Technical Developer

Responsibilities:

Work closely with the BA, infra, deployments and vendor teams.

  • Use and manage vendor augmented resources and ensure work assignments for high utilization and effective, quality outcomes while avoiding re-work
  • Drive technical innovation to enhance functional and technical capabilities of the platform
  • Build frameworks for configuration instead of code for each component
  • Communicate with technical and non-technical resources and work with limited direction while being highly productive
  • Apply standards and industry frameworks while leverage existing technologies and tools in the Bank
  • Implement solutions considering functionality, data, security, integration, infrastructure and performance.
  • Produce detailed design /low level design documents that communicate the system design effectively
  • Drive adherence to development, configuration management and deployment standards for solutions
  • Analyse performance test, vulnerability assessments and any other test related issues that arise during projects
  • Manage, address and resolve project-related technical issues in a timely fashion, ensuring necessary escalation and communication to stakeholders as necessary
  • Select, train, develop and manage technical team members in a conducive team environment
  • Lead multi-vendor teams to successfully deliver solutions
  • Guide the project team in issue resolution to meet the requirements and timelines

Testing & Readiness

  • Oversee functional, system, integration, and testing from a business and SME perspective.
  • Ensure test scenarios fully cover collections processes, conversion outcomes, and edge cases.
  • Support business readiness activities including operational handover, and hypercare.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Serve as a primary liaison between business, IT, vendors, and system integrators.
  • Provide clear status reporting, risk management, and issue escalation to senior stakeholders.
  • Guide vendors on functional expectations and validate delivered outcomes.

Requirements:
· Education: ·Degree with 8-10 years of current, hands on technical experience

· Essential:

o Go getter attitude with strong analytical and problem solving skills

Solid understanding of:

§ LINUX O/Sand/or RedHat platform and scripting skills

§ Java and internet-related components (i.e: JSON, XML)

§ Spring boot, Camel, FTP

§ Microservices Experiences

§ Jboss, Tomcat., Database, Sql

§ DevOps suite of products (i.e: Jenkins, GitHub, Sonar, Aldon, etc)

§ Connect Direct, SFTP, basic UNIX commands

§ Perf tuning and automation in general

o Working knowledge of microservice implementation, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and Kafka.

o Experience of complete software development lifecycles – waterfall and agile project experience

o General understanding of banking and knowledge and application of banking technology and regulations/compliance

o Understanding of data security, privacy, data protection, regulatory and compliance procedures

o Strong oral communication and writing skills

o Strong teambuilding, interpersonal and leadership skills
