Technical Manager (Jurong Island)
Job Description
- Ensure the implementation of sound HSE culture in the Power Plants.
- Ensure the legal compliance on all the activities in the Power Plants with respect to Health and Safety, industrial requirements and statutory requirements etc.
- Ensure that the activities of the Power Plants, especially related with Management of Change (MOC) are managed, controlled and documented through the Quality Management system.
- Support the Team to achieve highest level of reliability of the Power Plants.
- Support the Team during un-availability scenarios to ensure fast recovery of the Power Plants.
- Identify Propose and Implement process improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency of the Power Plants.
- Analise technical problems in the Power Plants and propose and implement solutions to prevent or mitigate the consequences of such problems.
- Analise Power Plants incidents and propose corrective actions to avoid recurrence.
- Monitor proactively Power Plants Operations to anticipate technical problems.
- Support to develop and implement tools that enable better monitoring of Power Plants, Systems and Equipment performance.
- Support the Team in the preparation and execution of the Planned Maintenance.
- Provide managerial guidance, direction, develop and motivate Power Plants Team.
- Liaise with the external stakeholders for the daily operative issues.
- Liaise with the internal stakeholders to ensure reliable and efficient operation of the Power Plants.
- Liaise with third party stakeholders, specially LTSA Contractors, to ensure the fulfilment of the respective contractual requirements to safeguard the interest of the Power Plants.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor or Masters engineering Degree from an accredited university.
- Additional qualifications in Management Administration, Safety, Project, Emergency or Quality Management would be an advantage.
- Mandatory 15 years relevant power plant-related technical experience in the Operations and/or Maintenance Departments.
- Sound experience in the erection, commissioning and initial start-up phases of a modern Power Station.
- Sound understanding, knowledge and experience of Combined Cycle Power Station setup and O&M activities.
- Sound understanding of Combined Cycle Power Station process.
- Relevant knowledge of Control and Instrumentations of Power Plants.
- Relevant knowledge on Combined Cycle performance analysis and optimisation.
- Detailed knowledge and experience of modern Health, Safety and Environmental, and Quality Management practices.
- Ability to lead teams and manage numerous personnel, especially during critical plant outage periods.
- Ability to work in multicultural team and able to perform under stress.
- Ability to support the Team on “ad hoc” basis to guarantee highest level of availability of the Power Plants.
