Technical Officer

Reports to: Lead Resident Technical Officer

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Supervision – Non-Structural Works

- Supervise daily Architectural and M&E works on site: finishes, waterproofing, tiling, painting, ceilings, doors/windows, MEP installations, landscaping works and any non-structural works as required.

- Conduct daily checks to ensure work follows approved drawings, specs, and quality standards

- Report progress, defects, and delays to Lead RTO

2. Quality & Safety Compliance

- Check materials and workmanship vs approved samples and B.O.Q

- Monitor contractor compliance with safety rules and method statements

- Maintain competency in safety management through annual safety training

3. Documentation & Coordination

- Prepare daily/weekly site reports, inspection checklists, and site photos

- Assist with RFIs, site instructions, and site measurements

- Liaise with contractors and suppliers on instructions from Lead RTO

Qualification Requirements

To be eligible for deployment as Technical Officer, you must meet:

1. Education: Diploma in Engineering, Building, Architecture, or relevant diploma certified by BCA. Example: Specialist Diploma in Architectural Technology SDAT. ITE certification also accepted.

2. Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in supervision of building projects

3. Safety Training: Complete safety-related course(s) annually through MOM-accredited training providers. Course must be relevant to safety management competency

Note: This role is for non-structural works only. Structural works = concrete, steel, beams, columns will be supervised by Lead RTO / RTO.
