Technical Product Manager
Welcome to Warner Bros. Discovery… the stuff dreams are made of.
Who We Are…
When we say, “the stuff dreams are made of,” we’re not just referring to the world of wizards, dragons and superheroes, or even to the wonders of Planet Earth. Behind WBD’s vast portfolio of iconic content and beloved brands, are the storytellers bringing our characters to life, the creators bringing them to your living rooms and the dreamers creating what’s next…
From brilliant creatives, to technology trailblazers, across the globe, WBD offers career defining opportunities, thoughtfully curated benefits, and the tools to explore and grow into your best selves. Here you are supported, here you are celebrated, here you can thrive.
As a Product Manager I at Warner Bros. Discovery, you will bring your foundational product experience into one of the most dynamic and fast-moving technology organizations in media. Working alongside experienced product managers and engineering teams, you will own clearly scoped workstreams, drive requirements gathering, maintain product documentation, and contribute to roadmaps across WBD's entertainment, sports and news portfolio. You will be expected to show up technically curious and commercially aware, with the ability to engage with engineering teams on solution design while keeping a sharp eye on business outcomes. AI powered tools and agentic workflows are a core part of how this team operates, and you will be expected to embrace and apply them as standard practice in your day-to-day work.
This position operates in a hybrid work model. It is an essential function of this position that the work be performed partially from the Company's offices, as growth in this role is accelerated through regular in person collaboration with your product, engineering, and design teammates.
Your Role Accountabilities…
Own requirements gathering for your assigned workstream, working closely with business stakeholders and engineering teams to translate needs into well structured, clearly documented product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Maintain and groom a healthy product backlog, ensuring stories are well defined, prioritized, and ready for sprint planning, and that the team always has clear, actionable work in queue.
Contribute to workstream roadmap planning under the guidance of a Sr. TPM or Lead, bringing ground level insight from engineering conversations, stakeholder feedback, and delivery learnings into the prioritization process.
Produce and maintain thorough product documentation including process flows, feature specifications, decision logs, and release notes that keep teams aligned and institutional knowledge intact.
Actively use AI powered tools and agentic workflows to improve the speed and quality of your work, from drafting requirements and summarizing research to automating repetitive documentation tasks.
Engage with engineering and design partners daily, developing the technical fluency to understand system constraints, ask informed questions, and ensure what gets built matches what was intended.
Participate in agile ceremonies, track delivery progress, surface blockers early, and communicate workstream status clearly to your Sr. TPM or Lead on a consistent basis.
Qualifications & Experience…
2 to 3 years of product management experience, with demonstrated ability to write clear requirements, manage a backlog, and support delivery of technology products in a cross functional environment.
Foundational technical understanding with the ability to engage meaningfully with engineering and design teams, ask informed questions about system design, and translate technical constraints into product decisions.
Hands on familiarity with agile methodologies and standard product tooling such as Jira, Confluence, or equivalent, with the ability to maintain documentation and contribute to sprint ceremonies effectively.
Active curiosity about and working familiarity with AI powered tools, large language models, or agentic workflows, with a willingness to apply them as standard practice in day-to-day product work.
Preferred: Exposure to media, entertainment, sports, or news technology is a plus but not a requirement. What matters most is intellectual curiosity about the space and a willingness to learn quickly.
How We Get Things Done…
This last bit is probably the most important! Here at WBD, our guiding principles are the core values by which we operate and are central to how we get things done. You can find them at www.wbd.com/guiding-principles/ along with some insights from the team on what they mean and how they show up in their day to day. We hope they resonate with you and look forward to discussing them during your interview.
