Technical Program Manager I, Carrier Testing, Devices and Services

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.US: $116000 - $166000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

- Collaborate closely with Modem Systems, Antenna, RF, and Software teams to deliver high-quality Pixel products.
- Develop test plans for mobile devices and validate LTE and NR system performance in conducted and Over-The-Air (OTA) test environments.
- Execute and manage US carrier RF OTA certification and customer test site validation throughout the product lifecycle.
- Drive debugging sessions, verification of test results, and report delivery to ensure products meet carrier standards.
- Identify and establish automatic methodologies to enhance existing practices and improve testing efficiency.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1 year of experience in program management.
- Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) or antenna testing and characterization using lab equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, or signal generators).
- Experience in software development using C/C++, Python, and SQL for automation or robotics control.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with regulatory processes and requirements for wireless consumer products, such as 3GPP, FCC, and CTIA.
- Experience with wireless communication standards and implementation (including but not limited to 5GNR, LTE, GNSS, and 802.1).
- Experience developing clear test plans to evaluate performance, identify the root cause of any discrepancies, and troubleshoot problems with devices and test platforms.
- Ability to be an influential member of a highly integrated team composed of both technical and non-technical members.
