Technical Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

Good Knowledge of Manufacturability/ Producibility practices specific to precision machined, sheet metal fabrication and plastic parts. Understanding of basic electrical components would be desirable.
Ability to perform technical calculations on individual build to print parts and simple assemblies to determine a fair and acceptable price for both Applied Materials and our suppliers
Understanding of GD&T standards for proper application. Able to identify cost reduction / avoidance ideas through DFx tenets and collaborate with design engineers.
Will prepare project plan and coordinates the attainment of project deliverables from planning to implementation. Maintains matrix for process improvements
Will drive project deliverables and task details by through the use reports, tracking charts and, checklists.
Good communication skills to work with cross functional teams like Design/Materials/Mfg./Quality/Suppliers are a must.
Will participate on intra business unit design teams to complete projects. Will contribute to the team's technical development in the pursuit of the team's project goals.

Functional Knowledge

Hands-on experience with precision parts manufacturing / Assembly environment preferred.
Demonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in mechanical or production engineering and basic knowledge of related disciplines

Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market

Leadership

Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements
