About the Job

You'll join a distributed team of project managers, product managers, and developers across North America and Europe supporting and evolving OffSec's Learning Management System, which powers the end-to-end experience for our enterprise customers and individual students. The work spans ongoing feature development, platform improvements, and operational support for a high-traffic, customer-facing system.

OffSec is looking for a self-driven, highly motivated Technical Project Manager to join our Project Management Team as a force multiplier, keeping cross-functional work moving with clarity and pace. You'll bring strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a proven ability to guide others to deliver outstanding results in a timely manner.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Succeeding by outcomes, ensuring the role improves delivery speed, clarity, and reduces friction rather than focusing on activities such as meetings or reporting.

  • Managing a portfolio of cross-functional projects across software development, SRE, and DevOps, maintaining momentum and resolving competing priorities without formal authority over delivery teams.

  • Maintaining deep working knowledge of assigned projects, with the ability to clearly explain status, context, and rationale without reliance on engineering teams.

  • Taking full ownership of project outcomes, making decisions, driving accountability, and avoiding upward delegation when challenges arise.

  • Identifying, managing, and escalating risks and issues proactively to prevent delivery delays or impact.

  • Running technical and project meetings with a focus on driving clear decisions, actions, and ownership.

  • Driving project planning, capacity planning, and roadmap discussions in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

  • Delivering clear and structured weekly updates to stakeholders, including progress, risks, blockers, and next steps.

  • Owning project communication end-to-end, ensuring alignment across internal teams and wider stakeholders.

  • Using AI tools effectively to improve efficiency across planning, communication, documentation, and analysis.

  • Documenting key decisions and rationale in Confluence in real time to ensure transparency and traceability.

  • Supporting overall project delivery and contributing to additional initiatives as required.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA in related field or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education

  • 2-3 years previous experience in software development project management.

  • Strong analytical, planning and organizational skills, with meticulous attention to detail

  • Excellent spoken and written communication as well as receptive listening skills.

  • Experience working with global teams in varying time zones and remote locations.

  • Ability to accomplish goals by managing and influencing individuals to meet deadlines on time.

  • Leverage AI tools to improve project planning, reporting, documentation, and day-to-day execution efficiency.

  • Proven experience implementing standard project management and SDLC methodologies and best practices.

  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and tasks. Demonstrated knowledge of project management concepts and techniques required.

  • Familiar with technical IT related topics including programming, networking, webservers and VMWare would be beneficial, but not required

  • Experience using Slack, Jira, and Confluence

  • Strong knowledge in the G Suite of products: Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides

  • Comfortability or experience working on a Mac machine.
