Technical Sales Manager

Job Purpose<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>

The Technical Sales\nManager is responsible for driving revenue growth, market penetration, and\nlong\-term client relationships by providing technically sound solutions that\nmeet client operational requirements in the oil and gas industry. The role\nbridges engineering expertise and commercial strategy, ensuring that the\ncompany\u2019s products and services are effectively positioned, competitively\npriced, and successfully delivered to International Oil Companies (IOCs),\nNational Oil Companies (NOCs), and Indigenous Companies.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

The Technical Sales\nManager ensures that all technical sales activities align with company\nstrategy, Nigerian regulatory requirements, local content obligations, and\nindustry safety standards.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

Key Responsibilities<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>

  1. Translate client operational\n challenges into tailored technical solutions<\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  2. Work closely with engineering,\n operations, supply chain management teams, as well as OEM partners to\n design fit\-for\-purpose service offerings<\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  3. Ensure proposed solutions comply\n with Nigerian oil & gas industry and local content regulatory\n standards, as well as health, safety, and environmental (HSE) guidelines<\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  4. Lead technical presentations,\n demonstrations, and proof\-of\-concept trials<\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  5. Identify and pursue new business\n opportunities with International Oil Companies, National Oil Companies\n (NNPC and its subsidiaries) and Indigenous Companies<\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  6. Support the Business Development\n and Project Management teams with the preparation of technical proposals,\n reviews, negotiations, and presentations to existing and potential clients<\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  7. Develop account plans and sales\n pipelines aligned with company growth targets<\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  8. Analyse market trends, upcoming\n projects, and competitive activity within Nigeria\u2019s oil & gas industry<\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  9. Support pricing strategies that\n balance technical value, risk, and profitability<\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  10. Serve as the primary\n technical\-commercial interface between clients and the company<\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  11. Maintain long\-term relationships\n with client decision\-makers (technical, procurement, and management teams)<\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  12. Conduct regular technical reviews,\n performance evaluations, and post\-job analyses<\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  13. Resolve client concerns by\n coordinating internally with engineering, operations and QA/QC teams<\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  14. Support the Bids & Tendering\n team with technical and commercial tender responses (ITTs, RFQs, RFPs)<\/span><\/span><\/span>

    Requirements<\/h3>


    <\/span><\/p>

    Education<\/b>
    <\/p>

    • Bachelor\u2019s degree in petroleum engineering,\nmechanical engineering, electrical/electronic engineering, chemical engineering
      <\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Master\u2019s degree in petroleum\nengineering, engineering management or MBA is an added advantage
      <\/span>
      <\/li><\/ul>

      Experience<\/b>
      <\/p>

      • 10 \u2013 12 years\u2019 proven experience\nin engineering in the oil & gas sector, with 3 \-5 years of those in\nTechnical Sales
        <\/span><\/li><\/ul>

        • Strong background and knowledge\nof the Nigeria Oil & Gas industry value chain (upstream, midstream and\ndownstream).

        • Contract pricing, negotiation,\nstakeholder management and deal\-closure skills
          <\/span><\/li>
        • Business writing, proposal\ndevelopment and presentation skills
