Technical SEO Lead
Technical SEO Lead
Location: San Francisco (hybrid preferred), remote-US considered for exceptional candidates
Type: Full-time
Reports to: CEO/Co-Founder
About the role
We serve over 5 million users across 190 countries, from small creators to Fortune 500s. We're hiring a Technical SEO Lead to own organic growth for the platform end to end: set the strategy, write the code to execute it, and understand the web deeply enough to debug anything.
Our biggest SEO opportunities are things you build, not just things you write. The right person is a web developer who moved into SEO, as comfortable in a pull request as in a keyword report.
What you'll do
You'll own SEO strategy end to end: size the opportunity, decide what to build first, and measure results in signups and revenue rather than traffic alone. Most of the work you'll ship yourself in our codebase, from landing pages at scale to the scripts you use to analyze them.
When something underperforms, you'll figure out why. That means understanding how pages actually get rendered, crawled, and indexed, and being comfortable digging into logs and network behavior.
What we're looking for
The three things that matter most:
Strategy. You can walk us through a past role: how you sized the opportunity, sequenced the work, and what revenue resulted. You're comfortable using tools like Ahrefs, Keyword Planner, Google Search Console, Excel, and Cursor to analyze data for actionable insights.
Execution. You can ship your own changes as PRs or work directly with engineers to make deeper changes. You can lead a scalable authority-building motion: assets and systems that earn links and citations repeatedly.
Debugging. You understand web and network fundamentals deeply: how rendering affects indexing, what crawlers actually see, and how to diagnose a problem from logs.
Nice to have: experience growing organic at a software platform, programmatic SEO at scale, and prior work on AI search visibility.
What this role is not
This isn't a content-calendar or editorial-only role. It's also not an audit-and-hand-off consultant role. You implement your own recommendations and work directly with the engineering team.
