The ATS Technical Services Group provides specialized tube fabrication, tube bending, orbital welding, manual welding, hydraulic tubing installation, and field services support for subsea, offshore, industrial, aerospace, AI data center, semiconductor, and related markets. The Technical Services Manager provides overall leadership and is responsible for all activities within this group.

This is a full time in-person position in Houston, TX.

EDUCATION/SKILLS:

  • BS Degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 15 total years’ experience in Industrial Engineering, Project Management or Operations.
  • Working knowledge with most Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, Adobe, etc).
  • A self-starter; ability to complete tasks with no guidance/supervision.
  • Must be detail oriented, organized and able to multi-task.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written, in the English language.
  • Assign priorities and resolve conflicts within daily routine tasks.
  • Ability to effectively work as a Team Leader.
  • Ability to travel is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership and Operations

  • Overall leadership of the ATS Technical Services Group.
  • Customer relationship management.
  • Project planning and execution oversight.
  • Crew leadership, recruiting, and personnel development.
  • Safety and quality compliance.
  • Financial performance and utilization management.
  • Strategic growth planning.

Commercial & Business Development

  • Business development and account growth.
  • Review customer RFQs and identify project opportunities.
  • Generate quotations and commercial proposals.
  • Develop annual business plans and growth strategies.
  • Participate in customer meetings and project reviews.
  • Develop new customer relationships and strategic partnerships.
  • Promote and advertise ATS Technical Services capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities to expand ATS services within existing customer accounts.
  • Support proposal development and customer engagement activities.
  • Develop annual revenue forecasts and opportunity pipelines.

Technical & Project Management

  • Generate project execution plans.
  • Generate Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Compile, submit, and maintain welding procedures and qualification documentation.
  • Support customer technical reviews and audits.
  • Coordinate project schedules and resource planning.
  • Develop project documentation packages.
  • Coordinate fabrication and field service activities.
  • Support recruiting and workforce development initiatives.
  • Support development of ATS capabilities within subsea, aerospace, semiconductor, industrial, and AI data center markets.
  • Develop and qualify welding techniques per applicable code/specification; write and submit welding procedures to customers or for internal use.
  • Assist team members in the development of work scopes, schedules, project costs, and identify the source of technical resources.
