Technican (Service Desk)

We are looking for a Technican (Service Desk) to join our team.

What you'll do:

  • Provide first contact resolution (1st line support) for IT incidents and service requests.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of software and hardware issues across IT environments.

  • Support laptops and desktops, including VPN connectivity, Microsoft applications, and business-critical tools.

  • Assist users with mobile devices, including MDM platforms, device enrolment, configuration, and work applications.

  • Manage user access requests and perform user access management activities.

  • Handle Service Management tickets, including incident and service request management.

  • Ensure timely resolution of issues while meeting defined quality and service targets.

  • Coordinate tasks and work independently with limited supervision.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and update ticketing systems accordingly (e.g., BMC Remedy).

  • Support continuous improvement of service desk processes and user experience.

  • Perform additional IT support duties as required.

What you will need to bring:

  • Mandatory previous experience in IT Service Desk / 1st line support roles.

  • Previous experience working in NATO environments, preferably NATO HQ Brussels.

  • Higher vocational training in a relevant IT discipline with 2+ years of experience, or secondary education with 4+ years of relevant experience.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Solid experience using Service Desk ticketing tools, particularly BMC Remedy.

  • Good understanding of VPN technologies and troubleshooting connectivity issues.

  • Basic knowledge of Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

  • Good communication and customer service skills in a support environment.

  • Ability to work in a hybrid model in Brussels, Belgium.

  • Fluent in one NATO official language (English or French), with good working knowledge of the other (spoken).
