Technician 2, Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance

Responsible for equipment maintenance and improvement, ensuring machine utilization. Involved in equipment installation, troubleshooting major issues, training contract workers on SOPs, and supporting new product programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To carry out equipment preventive maintenance as per schedule
  • In charge of equipment form factor conversion, set-up, and buy-off
  • Involved in an equipment improvement project coordinated by an engineer
  • New equipment installation or setup propagation
  • Support major equipment issue troubleshooting and spare parts inventory control
  • Provide training to the production operator
  • Follow safety and health rules
  • Yield sustaining and troubleshooting
  • New process evaluation
  • Documents revised and updated as per need

REQUIRED:

  • Diploma in any Engineering

PREFERRED:

  • Work on a 12-hour shift rotation.

  • Perform machine preventive maintenance and maintain accurate maintenance records.

SKILLS:

  • Capable of analyzing and providing detailed feedback on major equipment downtime, including chronological events and corrective actions taken.

  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) is an added advantage.

  • Possess strong knowledge of Automation and Control Systems.

  • Act as the first line of response for unscheduled machine downtime and quality-related issues.

  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional departments to support operational efficiency.

  • Able to respond to sudden changes and work effectively under pressure to restore machine operations within a short timeframe.
