Technician

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure smooth functioning and maintenance of all hotel engineering systems and equipment.
  • Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, kitchen, and mechanical equipment as assigned.
  • Monitor and maintain hotel utilities including DG sets, pumps, air-conditioning systems, lighting, and water supply systems.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and guest complaints related to engineering services.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with hotel standards and safety procedures.
  • Maintain proper records of maintenance activities, equipment logs, and daily checklists.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors whenever required.
  • Ensure energy conservation practices are followed within the department.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the engineering workshop and work areas.
  • Assist in installation and repair works across the hotel premises.
  • Support departmental objectives to achieve operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.

General Responsibilities

  • Be fully conversant with hotel fire & life safety/emergency procedures.
  • Comply with hotel and department policies and procedures at all times.
  • Attend all briefings, meetings, and trainings as assigned by management.
  • Report for duty on time wearing clean and complete uniform at all times.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties assigned by the Management of the Hotel.
  • Secondary / Higher Secondary School education.
  • ITI/Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or relevant technical trade.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in hotel engineering or facility maintenance.
  • Good reading and oral proficiency in English language.
  • Basic computer knowledge will be an added advantage.
