We are looking for a talented Diesel Mechanic - Workshop (2/1) to join our Port Hedland team, specialising in heavy vehicle repairs and maintenance across automotive, On-Highway, Off-Highway, mining, Marine, and Power Generation applications. This is a unique opportunity to enjoy the benefits of FIFO from Perth or living locally in a coastal town, while working in a busy Cummins workshop environment rather than being limited to a mine-site-based role.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Deliver a first-class service to our customers across, mining, automotive and power generation
Complete breakdown repairs and scheduled maintenance of heavy diesel products
Diagnose and repair various engines.
Engine rebuilding and reconditioning
Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and report any issues / incidents to the Field Service Supervisor
Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
Enjoy a broad and varied scope of work across a wide range of Cummins equipment, giving you exposure beyond the typical FIFO mine-site role and the opportunity to develop your skills across multiple product applications in a clean, well-equipped workshop setting.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Mechanical trades qualified as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (to Australian standards)
Experience as a Diesel Mechanic in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel products in field service. Cummins engines is highly preferred.
Solid diagnostic and IT capabilities
Previous experience of working in the Pilbara is highly desirable
Experience working with Cummins X15 On-Highway engines or similar heavy-duty diesel products is highly regarded.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products.
Expert level knowledge of the X15 platform is preferred
