Techno-Commercial Bid Governance Lead / Manager

Key Responsibilities

Bid & Proposal Governance

  • Review and govern all strategic bids/proposals before customer submission.
  • Ensure alignment between Sales, Presales, Delivery, Finance, SCM, and Legal teams.
  • Validate commercials, solution scope, assumptions, dependencies, and delivery commitments.
  • Ensure mandatory stakeholder sign-offs prior to proposal release and order booking.

Commercial & Margin Governance

  • Validate pricing, margin assumptions, payment terms, LD clauses, penalties, warranties, and commercial risks.
  • Ensure adherence to minimum margin thresholds and governance policies.
  • Identify and prevent potential revenue leakages and unplanned cost exposures.

SOW & Contract Governance

  • Ensure detailed SOW, SLA, deliverables, exclusions, and dependencies are documented and approved.
  • Review contractual terms for execution feasibility and commercial protection.
  • Drive proposal-to-order hygiene and governance discipline.

Cross-functional Coordination

  • Act as central governance interface between:
    • Sales
    • Presales
    • Service Delivery
    • Finance
    • Legal
    • SCM
    • OEM/Alliance teams
  • Conduct governance reviews for strategic and high-value opportunities.

Risk & Escalation Management

  • Identify bid-stage execution risks, dependency gaps, and commercial concerns.
  • Drive corrective actions before order booking.
  • Minimize post-order escalations, cost overruns, and customer disputes.

Governance & Reporting

  • Maintain governance dashboards and approval trackers.
  • Conduct periodic governance reviews with leadership.
  • Support creation of standardized proposal, costing, and SOW templates.

Preferred Profile

  • 8–15 years of experience in System Integration / IT Infrastructure / Managed Services environment.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Techno-commercial bid management
    • Proposal governance
    • Managed services commercials
    • Delivery execution lifecycle
    • Contract & SOW governance
  • Exposure to large enterprise/Govt/PSU projects preferred.
