Technology Development Process Engineer

Job Responsibilities

Process Equipment Evaluation:

  • Set up, qualify and evaluate surface finishing and plating process equipment.

Process Optimization:

  • Set-up and optimize conditions for immersion tin and electroless NiPdAu processes for new product introduction and continuous improvement in mass production.

Production Conditions and Standardization:

  • Develop and uphold technical standards, work standards, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and control plans.
  • Manage tasks related to establishing and standardizing production conditions for FCBGA manufacturing.

Roadmap Verification and Implementation:

  • Verify and implement roadmaps, including the verification of design rules and integration of new materials.

Process Change Management:

  • Handle requests for process changes and manage their implementation.

Material Selection and Evaluation:

  • Select and evaluate materials used in the production process.

Inspection and Measurement Equipment Evaluation:

  • Establish and evaluate equipment used for inspection, measurement, and analysis in the surface treatment and plating processes.

Customer Technical Meetings:

  • Manage and conduct technical meetings with customers to address and resolve technical issues and inquiries

Product Yield and Quality Stability:

  • Oversee tasks aimed at improving product yield and maintaining quality stability.

Productivity Enhancement:

  • Engage in activities to enhance productivity through standardization, review of work procedures, and automation of process checks.


Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Manager, as required to support the team and organizational goals.

Job Requirements

Professional Qualifications:

  • Degree in Chemistry or an equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in substrate, PCB and semiconductor surface finishing processes, electroplating processes is preferred.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills:

  • Semiconductor industry and customer knowledge.
  • Preferably with PCB manufacturing process background.
  • Good understanding of chemistry, electrical, and mechanical fields.
  • Experience in managing quality and productivity in production environments (preferred).
  • Familiarity with measurement, analysis, and reliability evaluation tools (preferred).
  • Basic understanding of substrate manufacturing processes (preferred).
