Telecom Field Engineer (DWDM / Fiber / Transmission) - MIUN

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end provisioning, testing and commissioning of telecom services

• Conduct BERT, OTDR, RFC2544 testing for service activation

• Carry out fiber patching, cross-connect, cabling and PoP/DC installation

• Execute MOP for installation, migration and troubleshooting activities

• Perform onsite work at customer locations, data centres and PoPs

• Support fault isolation and service restoration

• Maintain service, inventory and engineering documentation

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years experience in telecom field operations (5+ preferred)

• Hands-on experience in DWDM / OTN / Metro Ethernet networks

• Strong experience in:

  • Fiber optics (patching / splicing / cross-connect)

  • Testing tools (BERT, OTDR, RFC2544)

• Experience working in telco or vendor environment

• Comfortable with onsite field work and physical installation tasks

• Able to support 24/7 standby and night maintenance activities

• Good documentation and reporting skills (Excel, reports)
