About the Role<\/b>
<\/p>

Gridcom Pty Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced\nTelecommunications Technician to install, maintain, test, and repair\ntelecommunications equipment and systems.
<\/p>

The role involves working on telecommunications networks,\ntransmission systems, cabling, and associated infrastructure. The successful\ncandidate will work across multiple sites and ensure all work complies with\nindustry standards and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities<\/b>
<\/p>

  • Installing,\n upgrading, and integrating telecommunications equipment and systems
    <\/li>
  • Installation,\n upgrading and integration of Ericsson, Huawei, and Nokia BTS hardware
    <\/li>
  • Commissioning\n and working with microwave (MW) transmission technologies
    <\/li>
  • Installing\n and terminating telecommunications cabling (copper, fibre optic, and\n coaxial)
    <\/li>
  • Testing,\n optimisation, and performance analysis of mobile/cellular and ethernet\n networks
    <\/li>
  • Fault\n finding and rectification of faults on telecommunications network\n hardware, systems, and associated equipment
    <\/li>
  • Performing\n routine inspections and preventative maintenance
    <\/li>
  • Interpreting\n technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
    <\/li>
  • Using\n specialised test equipment (e.g. PIM, fibre, antenna systems, ethernet\n testers)
    <\/li>
  • Ensuring\n all work complies with safety standards, codes, and client requirements
    <\/li><\/ul>

    Skills<\/b>
    <\/p>

    • Strong\n fault\-finding and diagnostic skills
      <\/li>
    • Understanding\n of hybrid and RF systems and associated installation principles
      <\/li>
    • Knowledge\n of telecommunications cabling and transmission systems
      <\/li>
    • Solid\n understanding of carrier build and installation standards (e.g. Telstra,\n Optus, NBN, Vodafone)
      <\/li>
    • Ability\n to read and interpret technical drawings, construction plans, and\n documentation
      <\/li>
    • High\n attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
      <\/li>
    • Intermediate\n to advanced computer literacy
      <\/li>
    • Strong\n communication and teamwork skills
      <\/li>
    • Ability\n to work independently and manage workloads across multiple sites
      <\/li><\/ul>

      Experience<\/b>
      <\/p>

      • At\n least 2\u20133 years of relevant industry experience as a Telecommunications\n Technician
        <\/li>
      • Experience\n installing, commissioning, and integrating telecommunications systems\n across multiple technologies
        <\/li>
      • Experience\n working with mobile network infrastructure and transmission systems
        <\/li>
      • Experience\n in field\-based roles across multiple project sites
        <\/li>
      • Experience\n using telecommunications test equipment and diagnostic tools
        <\/li><\/ul>

        Qualifications<\/b>
        <\/p>

        • Relevant\n qualification in Telecommunications (Certificate III, IV, Diploma, or\n equivalent)
          <\/li>
        • Valid\n Australian Driver\u2019s Licence
          <\/li>
        • Construction\n Industry White Card
          <\/li>
        • Working\n at Heights and Tower Rescue (preferred but not essential)
          <\/li>
        • RF\n Awareness Training (preferred)
          <\/li>
        • First\n Aid and CPR certification (preferred)
          <\/li><\/ul>

          • Willingness\n to travel regularly across QLD and Northern NSW
            <\/li>
          • Ability\n to work flexible hours as required
            <\/li>

          • Flexible,\n reliable, and able to work both independently and within a team
            <\/li>
          • Rigging\n qualifications are advantageous
