The Role


Benguela Cove Lagoon Wine Estate is an award-winning property in the Walker Bay Region in the Western Cape and is looking for persuasive communicators who can bring a Wine Estate to life over the phone. Whether you’re an experienced beverage sales professional, a field or retail sales rep ready to pivot, or a natural closer looking for a premium product, this is your opportunity.

You’ll promote our exceptional Wines to customers with warmth and expertise. You’ll also have the potential to work with our sister Estate, Leonardslee Family Vineyards in the UK. Based in Bellville, Cape Town, this is consultative telephone sales with real earning potential — not a generic call centre role.


Key Responsibilities


  • Outbound Sales & Cold Calling: Proactively build your pipeline through targeted outreach and cold calls.
  • Inbound Enquiry Conversion: Handle inbound leads promptly and guide them smoothly from interest to sale.
  • Product Knowledge & Storytelling: Master and passionately present our flagship Vinography wines, seasonal releases, and exclusive gift sets (full training provided).
  • Relationship Management: Build genuine rapport and drive repeat business and loyalty.
  • Corporate Gifting & Promotions: Identify opportunities and present tailored packages for events and corporate clients.
  • CRM & Order Management: Maintain disciplined CRM records (VTiger), accurately process orders, coordinate logistics, and ensure excellent delivery experiences.
  • Target Achievement: Consistently meet and exceed monthly KPIs including sales targets, call volumes, conversion rates, and pipeline growth.


What We Need From You — Non-Negotiables


  • Proven track record in telesales, B2B sales, beverage sales, or field/retail sales with strong closing ability.
  • Excellent verbal communication – clear, engaging, and confident on the phone.
  • Resilience, self-motivation, and high energy in a target-driven environment.
  • Strong listening skills and the ability to tailor solutions to customer needs.
  • Matric certificate.
  • NQF5 - sales, marketing, or hospitality qualification advantageous.
  • Fluent English essential; additional languages a bonus.

Working Hours Monday to Friday, SA 8am – 6pm. When supporting Leonardslee clients, hours shift to UK 8am – 6pm (SA 9am – 7pm / 10am – 8pm depending on daylight savings).
